Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers across pods and the organization to build high-quality, scalable products.
- Automate repetitive tasks, streamline the software development lifecycle, and optimize deployment processes.
- Analyze engineering processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Design and implement process improvements, code review optimization, and continuous integration and delivery best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and engineering best practices.
- Develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing training on technologies, tools, and development practices.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, review code, and give feedback.
- Improve legacy code and leave the codebase better than you found it.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and methodologies that improve engineering processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting production web applications.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform.
- Proficiency writing production software.
- Experience working on platforms with multiple services.
- Experience collaborating with engineers of varying experience levels on technical projects.
- Ability to work and solve problems independently.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Collaborative, documentation-focused, customer-focused, and curious approach to problem-solving.
Nice to Have
- DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
- Production experience with Golang and Ruby.
- Experience on an engineering enablement or platform team, or contributing to engineering-wide initiatives.
