Responsibilities
- Design and build backend systems and data models powering the product.
- Own features end-to-end, including frontend work when needed.
- Collaborate with design and product to turn ideas into customer-ready experiences.
- Engage with early users, incorporate feedback, and iterate quickly.
- Contribute to engineering culture through code reviews, shared ownership, and mentorship.
- Ship production-grade code quickly and thoughtfully while balancing quality and speed.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building and shipping full-stack or backend-heavy applications.
- Strong fluency with Django or similar frameworks and backend fundamentals, including API design, data modeling, persistence, and PostgreSQL experience.
- Experience with PostgreSQL schema design and query performance.
- Experience building frontend interfaces, ideally with React or Next.js.
- Familiarity with TypeScript and GraphQL, or willingness to develop these skills.
- Ability to take features from concept to production independently.
- Customer-focused approach and interest in solving real user problems.
- Strong system design and data integrity judgment.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.
