Design Engineer
Designs and builds polished, production-ready interfaces and scalable design systems across desktop and mobile platforms. The role requires strong React, TypeScript, Tailwind, prototyping, visual design, and interaction design skills, plus a willingness to work primarily in person in London.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a robust, scalable design system in Figma and code, including React and Tailwind.
- Prototype and ship high-quality, production-ready UI with careful attention to typography, color, motion, and microinteractions.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering from early concepts through polished implementation.
- Maintain consistency across Mac, Windows, and iOS platforms.
- Identify and fix gaps between design and engineering, raising the product quality bar.
- Invent new interaction patterns for AI-driven tools.
Requirements
- Experience as a Design Engineer, frontend engineer with strong design skills, or designer with strong engineering skills.
- High proficiency with React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and modern frontend architecture.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills, with deep attention to detail and polish.
- Comfortable prototyping in Figma, code, or AI tools.
- Experience with or interest in design systems and component libraries.
- Willingness to work in person from the London office most of the time.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: £100,000–£130,000.
- Above-market equity.
