Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deploy the platform inside enterprise environments, potentially working on-site with teammates to map service workflows.
• Increment production code across integrations, data pipelines, agent workflows, and internal tooling.
• Integrate the platform with customer systems, including ticketing, identity, device management, and knowledge-base systems.
• Own parts of live deployments early and take responsibility for complete deployments as experience grows.
• Feed deployment learnings back into the product.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional software development experience, or a strong engineering degree plus an internship shipping production work.
• Comfort with Python and TypeScript, or the ability to learn them quickly.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and working with external data in production.
• Demonstrated initiative through personal tools, applications, open-source contributions, or similar projects.
• Willingness to work directly with customers.
• Ability to persist through challenging or unglamorous work and provide a concrete example.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with LLM agents, tool use, retrieval, or evaluations, preferably shipped to production.
• Exposure to IT service management, configuration management databases, or enterprise IT operations.
• Two years of technical consulting or solutions engineering experience with an interest in writing more code.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary: $140,000–$200,000 USD.
• Equity and benefits package.
• On-site collaborative workspace in Midtown, Manhattan, five days per week, with potential travel to customer sites.
