Responsibilities
- Own the growth operating model used to forecast the business, run scenarios, and guide weekly operations.
- Partner with Strategy & Operations and Finance on goal-setting and forecasting cycles.
- Analyze data to diagnose and explain business trajectory and trends.
- Size opportunities and model the impact of pricing changes and new initiatives to inform investment decisions.
- Partner with executive leadership and founders on strategic decisions and investments.
- Mentor peers, establish best practices, and shape data-team processes, tools, and standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business data science, business analytics, or strategy and analytics; consumer or marketplace experience preferred.
- Experience building financial or operating models using forecasting, regression analysis, and cohort analysis.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Proficiency in Python or another scripting language preferred.
- Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data stack and data-modeling best practices.
- Experience using LLM tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenAI Codex for analysis and prototyping.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Curious, pragmatic, collaborative, and empathetic approach with a focus on business impact and peer development.
Compensation and Benefits
- Indicative compensation range: $130,000–$185,000 plus equity; final compensation depends on hiring level and experience.
