AI Native .NET Engineer
Build and modernize secure .NET backend systems for file-transfer approval workflows, audit logging, and compliance. The role requires 3+ years of scalable-systems experience, strong C#/.NET fundamentals, testing discipline, and deep hands-on use of AI agents in engineering workflows.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve backend systems for supervisor approval workflows, including configurable approval chains, status tracking, and policy-driven decisions.
- Develop and maintain audit logging and compliance capabilities for user activities and file-transfer operations.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for code generation, testing, documentation, reviews, and implementation while maintaining solution quality and ownership.
- Participate in security-focused code reviews of human- and AI-generated code.
- Create coding harnesses and test frameworks for structured, repeatable AI-assisted development.
- Maintain machine-readable AI context files for owned services, documenting architecture, coding standards, constraints, and forbidden patterns.
- Help define AI-native engineering practices, playbooks, context-file standards, and review norms.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on experience using AI agents as core engineering tools, demonstrated through real work such as pull requests, commit history, or a portfolio.
- Strong .NET Core and C# proficiency, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- 3+ years of experience developing scalable solutions.
- Familiarity with relational or document databases and modern CI/CD systems.
- Proficiency in unit testing with xUnit or an equivalent framework.
- Strong quality, security, analytical, and continuous-learning mindset.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of asynchronous .NET programming, including async/await and TPL, with experience validating thread safety in high-throughput systems.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Experience reviewing AI-generated code for injection risks, insecure defaults, inadequate input validation, and privilege escalation.
- Experience authoring AI context files such as CLAUDE.md or .cursorrules.
- Familiarity with running AI agents in CI/CD pipelines for lint fixes, test generation, or safe migrations.
- Personal programming projects, including AI-assisted projects.
Compensation and Benefits
- Gross monthly base salary of 764,000–1,815,000 HUF, depending on location and experience; equity and bonus are excluded.
- Language courses and active recreation opportunities.
- Office amenities and regular team events.
