About the role
Responsibilities
Own the post-sales integration lifecycle from signed SOW validation through architecture, build, UAT, go-live, maintenance, and live support.
Validate technical feasibility, sizing, requirements, risks, and gaps during the Sales-to-Delivery handoff.
Define integration architecture, including data models, synchronization patterns, authentication, error handling, and reusable reference standards.
Lead delivery of managed SIS integrations, including bidirectional syncs, flat-file exchanges, SFTP-delivered CSV and fixed-width files, application-source feeds, and bespoke integrations.
Own integration quality, timelines, tooling, runbooks, monitoring, versioning, enhancements, and operational reliability.
Lead the integration architects, integration engineers, and live support specialists; set the operating model, hire and develop the team, and establish repeatable processes.
Own the chat-based Live Support experience, including staffing, quality, response standards, and feedback loops.
Partner with Product and Engineering on native integrations, configurable capabilities, specifications, trade-offs, sequencing, LMS integrations, and customer-built integrations against the company API.
Define and report KPIs such as time to integrate, on-time delivery against SOW, sync reliability and uptime, escalation and support volume, and resolution time.
Serve as a senior escalation point for customer integration issues.
Requirements
Deep, hands-on expertise with at least one major student information system, ideally Ellucian Banner or Colleague through the Ethos API.
Experience integrating a CRM with an SIS; experience with Slate, Salesforce, or another enterprise or higher education CRM is relevant.
8+ years of experience in integration delivery or implementation in higher education or B2B SaaS.
3+ years leading technical teams of architects and/or engineers.
Expertise in scoping and solutioning, including validating SOWs, sizing effort and risk, and shaping integration approaches.
Technical fluency with REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, scheduled and event-driven data-pipeline orchestration, and authentication patterns such as API keys, bearer or session tokens, and basic authentication.
Familiarity with the Python and AWS ecosystem, including ECS, Secrets Manager, and S3, as well as MongoDB and Snowflake/dbt data layers.
Ability to read payloads and pressure-test architectures without being the primary coder.
Experience building and structuring technical delivery teams across architecture, engineering, and support.
Strong communication skills with campus registrars, IT directors, engineers, executives, Sales, and Product partners.
Nice to Have
Experience at a higher education SaaS company focused on CRM, SIS, enrollment, or curriculum technology.
Experience with Workday Student, Anthology/Campus Nexus, Populi, Destiny One, or CFNC, in addition to Banner and Colleague.
Experience turning a managed or services offering into repeatable, productized capabilities with Product.
Hands-on experience with Dagster or similar code-based orchestration, event-driven architectures, Docker, AWS ECS, and integration monitoring or observability tools such as Sentry.
