Greyspace Capacity Analyst
Model and track greyspace capacity (electrical, mechanical, support space) across data center sites to ensure constraints are identified early. Build source-of-truth views, analyze trade-offs, and support design/delivery/operations teams with data center or industrial planning experience.
About the job
Role Scope
- Model greyspace capacity across sites: the electrical, mechanical, and support space budgets behind every megawatt of whitespace.
- Track allocation against design as builds evolve, catching where greyspace runs out before power does.
- Build the source-of-truth views that design, delivery, and operations use to answer whether it fits.
- Analyze trade-offs when programs compete for the same square footage or capacity headroom.
Requirements
- Experience in capacity or space planning for data centers, industrial plants, or utilities.
- Comfortable working with drawings and single-lines as well as spreadsheets.
- Built capacity models that caught a real constraint early.
- Maintain a source of truth current across many concurrent changes.
- Present constraints with options attached.
Nice-to-Haves
- DCIM tools.
- Electrical and mechanical fundamentals.
- SQL and BI tooling.
- Multi-site portfolios.
