Data Analyst, Marketing

Analyzes marketing spend, channel performance, attribution, and customer growth through reporting, experimentation, data modeling, and predictive analytics. Requires 3+ years of data analysis experience, marketing expertise, SQL, BI tools, Python, and a quantitative bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Build a holistic view of marketing spend, channel performance, and attribution.
  • Develop audience and segmentation mechanisms to optimize channel and campaign performance.
  • Explore, validate, and build datasets supporting business intelligence and marketing strategies.
  • Iterate on channel attribution logic and methodologies.
  • Design and measure incrementality tests and other experiments using actionable metrics.
  • Standardize metrics and build consensus with marketing and other stakeholders.
  • Establish Looker as a primary reporting and analytics tool, including modular data models.
  • Drive data-modeling requirements for analytics and data engineering teams.
  • Champion segmentation, predictive modeling, and other advanced analytical techniques.
  • Quantify team goals and KPIs/OKRs, generate actionable insights, and identify opportunities.
  • Promote analytics best practices and train business partners on BI tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, ideally in B2C, financial services, or technology.
  • 1+ year of experience in acquisition or growth marketing.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and business-analysis skills.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
  • Working experience with Python for data analysis.

Nice to Have

  • Experience modeling data with dbt.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or banking.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $130,000-$175,000 annually.
