Product Manager, Applied AI

Responsibilities

• Deliver workflow agents for permitting, enabling rapid comprehension of construction projects and accurate compliance submissions for permits and inspections.
• Define the reliability standard for field- and submission-level workflows and own the quality bar gating releases.
• Drive the path to full automation by segmenting use cases and pursuing single-shot submission where accuracy allows.
• Design assistive use cases, including agents and tools that help permit coordinators work faster when human-in-the-loop workflows are appropriate.
• Partner with operations to build an evaluation and data flywheel through early testing, golden dataset generation, and structured error analysis.
• Build a durable design system around the data flywheel so users can provide feedback on AI products.
• Build internal tools for testing, error analysis, and hill climbing across agentic work.
• Serve as the internal applied AI expert for teams from traditional software backgrounds.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, or an equivalent track record in forward-deployed engineering, applied research, or operations leadership.
• Direct ownership of the quality bar for a shipped AI or agentic system.
• Hands-on experience building evaluations, including golden datasets, LLM-as-judge, human annotation, and online monitoring.
• Judgment about when to build an agent versus using a simpler product or process change.
• Deep technical fluency and comfort engaging engineers on technical concepts.
• Experience partnering closely with operations teams and translating operational insight into product.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and create clarity for cross-functional teams.
• High ownership, urgency, and accountability.
• Track record of high-quality delivery and increased scope across multiple roles.
