GTM Engineer - CX

Responsibilities

• Build and own post-sale workflow automations, including health scoring, churn signal detection, expansion opportunity identification, and proactive customer outreach triggers.
• Partner with Growth Strategy and Product Support to translate business needs into automation requirements and iterate based on feedback.
• Build tooling that surfaces the right customer context for GSMs at key moments, including before QBRs, during renewals, and ahead of expansion conversations.
• Extend the Clay platform into new use cases, dogfood new features, and act as a practitioner evangelist for Clay infrastructure and GTM Engineering.
• Partner with GTM leaders and frontline teams to understand the revenue motion and identify workflow gaps.
• Own projects end-to-end, from discovery and prototyping through rollout, adoption, and iteration.
• Identify opportunities to automate, augment, or redesign workflows using AI, data, and systems design.
• Design systems that improve speed, visibility, data quality, and execution across the funnel.
• Connect systems through APIs, webhooks, integrations, and automation layers.
• Measure the performance, adoption, and business impact of solutions and improve them over time.
• Act as an internal thought partner on the future of AI-native GTM systems.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience across RevOps, GTM Engineering, or a similar applied technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in RevOps, Sales Operations, GTM Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience building, developing, or connecting Salesforce and adjacent GTM systems.
• Hands-on experience with customer success tools such as Gainsight, Vitally, or ChurnZero.
• Ability to build and solve problems using Python, JavaScript, SQL, or TypeScript.
• Track record of deploying AI-powered internal tools, automations, or agentic workflows.
• Experience using data warehouses, BI tools, or event-driven systems.
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate technical topics to nontechnical audiences and business requirements to technical audiences.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, rapidly changing, hypergrowth environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience building in Clay as a primary workflow or enrichment layer.
• Experience in analytics engineering, data science, or programming.
