Responsibilities
- Design matter-management and task-tracking workflows for attorneys, partners, and legal operators.
- Spend meaningful time with users to understand how matters move, where work gets stuck, and what needs better visibility.
- Define what should be automated, assisted, or kept under attorney control.
- Prototype quickly in code, Cursor, Claude Design, or other AI-assisted tools.
- Partner with engineering and product from problem definition through shipped product.
- Evolve the design system and product patterns as the software expands.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product design experience shipping real products.
- Strong interaction, visual, and systems design craft.
- Experience working closely with users and turning complex context into simple product decisions.
- Strong judgment about adding structure, reducing friction, and preserving human control.
- Build-first mindset with rapid prototyping and early testing.
- Intentional, hands-on use of AI to improve design workflows and problem-solving.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing legal, healthcare, finance, or other expert professional workflows.
- Experience with project management, CRM, case management, or systems-of-record products.
- Comfort with Git, code, or version-controlled prototyping workflows.
- Experience contributing to or scaling a design system.
- Meaningful code contributions outside prototyping.
Compensation and Benefits
- $215,000 - $265,000 per year in base salary, plus equity.
