About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build solutions that make people's everyday work lives easier, across both our mobile apps and web platform - through the use of intuitive interfaces and thoughtfully curated AI tools.
  • Work with UI/UX and product designers on new ways of interacting with applications, including a 'conversational UI'.
  • Debug, fix and improve application performance.
  • Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code while rapidly iterating and shipping.
  • Deliver outcomes end to end with a high degree of ownership.
  • Design, develop and maintain full-stack features, mobile experiences and seamless integrations with external systems.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with TypeScript across React Native, React, and backend technologies (Java + Scala), plus SQL.
  • Proficiency in a statically-typed, JVM-based backend language such as Scala or Java.
  • Detailed knowledge of architectural patterns and how to apply them.
  • Skill in writing responsive, accessible and maintainable UI components.
  • Proven track record of clean, testable, maintainable code, and experience with unit and integration testing, CI and CD.
  • Ability to build scalable, durable features in high-availability environments.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset, eager to take on tough challenges.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior production experience with Scala and/or Java.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Grafana and other monitoring tools.
  • Embraced AI-powered development lifecycle.
