Responsibilities
- Own the design of Kalshi’s brand and marketing web presence from concept through launch.
- Design crafted brand pages, campaign landing pages, partnership pages, policy and editorial pages, and one-off digital experiences.
- Translate Kalshi’s brand into compelling digital experiences rather than simply placing brand assets into templates.
- Partner directly with engineers to bring designs to life and maintain a high bar for implementation quality.
- Create responsive experiences across devices and screen sizes.
- Prototype interactions, motion, and new approaches for Kalshi’s web presence.
- Build and evolve reusable components, patterns, and systems to improve consistency and speed.
- Conduct design QA and maintain attention to detail between design and production.
- Move quickly on one-off launches while identifying opportunities for reuse.
- Help define and evolve Kalshi’s visual and interaction language on the web.
- Collaborate with Brand, Engineering, Product, Growth, and other teams on launches and company moments.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in web, digital, or brand design.
- Strong portfolio of highly crafted web and digital work.
- Exceptional typography, layout, hierarchy, and visual design instincts.
- Strong brand instincts and ability to translate visual identity into distinctive digital experiences.
- Excellent Figma skills.
- Deep understanding of responsive web design and production implementation.
- Strong interaction and motion design instincts.
- Ability to move quickly on one-off projects while thinking systematically.
- High attention to detail and a strong bar for craft.
- Ability to independently own projects without significant day-to-day direction.
- Comfort working directly with engineers from exploration through launch.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and a fast-moving environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience designing digital experiences for recognizable consumer brands.
- Experience at a high-growth startup or similarly fast-moving environment.
- Experience building or evolving web design systems and reusable component libraries.
- Strong prototyping skills and experience exploring interaction and motion concepts.
- Experience working closely with front-end engineers and understanding the possibilities and constraints of the web.
- Experience designing editorial, data-driven, or content-heavy digital experiences.
- Experience creating campaign sites, launches, or interactive brand moments.
- Familiarity with fintech, trading, consumer internet products, sports, or culture.
Compensation
- Salary range: $115,000–$180,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.
