Owns Bland AI’s marketing design direction, brand system, and custom website while implementing polished experiences directly in code. The role combines strong visual design taste, frontend fluency, AI-assisted development, and close collaboration with marketing and engineering.

Responsibilities
Own Marketing Design
- Own the visual design direction across the marketing organization.
- Develop and maintain systems, guidelines, templates, and visual language across web, campaigns, events, content, social, and product launches.
- Raise the creative bar across marketing output.
Own the Website
- Take end-to-end ownership of the marketing website.
- Keep it current with products, launches, case studies, campaigns, and messaging.
- Improve design, UX, performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and overall quality.
- Identify and fix broken, outdated, inconsistent, or mediocre experiences.
Design in Code
- Work directly in a custom codebase to implement designs.
- Use Claude Code and other AI development tools to prototype, iterate, and ship experiences.
- Navigate a frontend codebase, make frontend changes, debug issues, and turn designs into polished production experiences.
Build the Brand System
- Develop and evolve the visual identity across typography, color, layout, illustration, motion, photography, iconography, and interaction.
- Create systems that help the marketing team move quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Balance reusable systems with exceptional one-off work.
Partner With Product Marketing
- Bring products, features, launches, and narratives to life with Product Marketing.
- Turn positioning and messaging into visual experiences across the website and broader marketing ecosystem.
Create Marketing Experiences
- Design landing pages, campaign experiences, launch pages, interactive experiences, event materials, social creative, and other high-visibility marketing assets.
- Use interaction, motion, and technology to create memorable marketing experiences.
Maintain Quality
- Own the quality bar for marketing design.
- Establish QA processes for websites and digital experiences.
- Audit the site for visual inconsistencies, broken experiences, outdated content, responsive issues, and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Exceptional design taste and a high standard for premium, modern, intentional visual work.
- Strong understanding of typography, composition, hierarchy, spacing, interaction, and visual storytelling.
- Strong foundation in traditional design principles and design systems.
- Comfort working with code and technology, including navigating frontend codebases, making changes, troubleshooting, and learning new tools.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or similar technologies is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with modern AI coding and creative tools.
- High ownership, agency, speed, and attention to quality.
- Ability to collaborate with marketers, product marketers, engineers, copywriters, and creative teammates.
Nice-to-Haves
- Degree or formal training in design, graphic design, interaction design, or a related field.
- Experience designing for high-growth technology companies.
- Strong portfolio of brand and digital design work.
- Frontend development experience.
- Experience with React, Next.js, HTML/CSS, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI coding agents.
- Experience building or maintaining design systems.
- Motion design or interactive web experience skills.
- Experience working closely with engineers.
- Experience with Figma and modern creative tooling.
- Experience designing for B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.
Compensation & Benefits
- $120,000–$170,000 per year.
