Responsibilities
- Lead execution of the site-level QA/QC program for large-scale data center construction
- Develop and maintain the Site-Level Quality Management Plan (QMP)
- Ensure critical MEP systems (electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, controls) are installed per design intent, specifications, and performance requirements
- Partner with construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to drive quality outcomes
- Develop and manage Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and inspection processes across all project phases
- Perform and oversee field inspections across civil, structural, and MEP scopes, emphasizing system-level quality
- Coordinate with AHJ and third-party special inspectors on code compliance and inspection sign-offs
- Validate installation against drawings, specifications, submittals, and commissioning requirements
- Drive pre-functional and functional readiness with commissioning teams
- Provide quality sign-off for systems prior to commissioning and turnover
- Track and manage deficiencies, punch lists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Analyze quality metrics, defect trends, and rework drivers for continuous improvement
- Enforce contractual quality standards across GCs and subcontractors, including escalation and corrective actions
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of turnover documentation (as-builts, redlines, test reports, O&M manuals)
- Support audit readiness and maintain high-quality documentation and reporting standards
Requirements
- 5–7+ years experience in construction QA/QC (Manager), ideally in mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, including electrical distribution and mechanical/cooling systems
- Experience supporting commissioning readiness and system turnover
- Proven ability managing NCRs, punch lists, inspections, and QA documentation at scale
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical submittals
- Comfortable in fast-paced, field-driven environment with multiple stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with systems-oriented and analytical mindset
- Experience using quality data (defect tracking, trend analysis) to drive decisions and improvements
Nice to Have
- Data center or hyperscale experience (AWS, Meta, Google, Microsoft, etc.)
- Complex large-scale commercial construction experience (Healthcare, Semi-Conductor, Refinery, Central Plants)
- Experience working closely with commissioning (Cx) teams
- Familiarity with tools such as Procore, BIM360, or similar construction management platforms
- Relevant certifications (CQM, CQI, PMP, or similar)
Compensation
- Up to $160,000 - $170,000 + Bonus
