About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own public affairs for data center and power projects: local officials, community groups, and the public record.
  • Build support in the communities where we build: town halls, briefings, and the relationships that keep projects moving.
  • Run the response when a project draws attention, media, hearings, and opposition, with a plan instead of a scramble.
  • Partner with development, legal, and government relations so the external story matches the project reality.

Requirements

  • Experience in public affairs or community relations for infrastructure, energy, or land development projects.
  • Ability to stand in front of a skeptical room and leave it calmer than you found it.
  • Experience building coalitions of local stakeholders that showed up when it counted.
  • Strong writing skills: fast and clean production of talking points, letters, and testimony.
  • Ability to track the politics of a county the way analysts track a market.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Data center or utility siting experience.
  • Campaign or government experience.
  • Crisis communications experience.
  • Familiarity with Texas or upstate New York markets.
