Responsibilities
Design HV and LV power systems including DC-DC converters, inverters, motor controllers, battery management, power generation, and distribution
Design embedded safety and protection mechanisms across power ranges from 10 kW high-power applications
Own full-cycle hardware development: concept, modeling, worst case analysis, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, design reiteration, testing, and validation
Drive PCB layout and design with ECAD engineers, optimizing for power density, EMI, thermal, and manufacturability
Design for safety, manufacturability, and reliability
Execute board bring up, verification, validation, and HALT testing to meet aerospace standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical, CAD, Embedded, Software, Production, and aircraft teams
Lead and contribute to design reviews
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and technical milestones
Requirements
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
1+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, circuit testing, and debugging
Familiarity with Altium or equivalent
Experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, power supplies, E-loads, multimeters
