Head of Accounting Policy & Financial Reporting
Lead accounting policy and financial reporting for a fast-growing fintech, reporting to the CAO. Drive US GAAP compliance, financial statement oversight, and modernization of controls and reporting processes.

Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP, including ongoing assessment of FASB and SEC developments
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and ensure a strong internal control environment over financial reporting
- Analyze and document accounting implications for complex transactions including M&A, new products, and strategic initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Legal, and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting outcomes
- Lead modernization efforts across reporting processes, systems, and controls to support scale and efficiency
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in accounting within financial services, fintech, or a high growth technology environment
- Deep expertise in US GAAP, technical accounting research, and financial reporting requirements
- Experience evaluating complex transactions and translating accounting guidance into practical business decisions
- Proven ability to build and improve internal controls and reporting processes in a scaling organization
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working with auditors, regulators, and executive leadership
