Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure
Leads large-scale, cross-functional infrastructure programs from definition through execution, partnering with engineering teams on technical design, delivery, and strategic decisions. Responsibilities
- Work with teams across the organization to understand infrastructure pain points, identify common needs, and create solutions spanning multiple domains.
- Define and produce high-quality written proposals, communications, and documentation.
- Execute technical programs requiring deep systems and engineering knowledge.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Engineers, and Technical Program Managers to define, scope, and drive large programs to completion.
- Shape technical design, anticipate technical roadblocks, collaborate with engineers, and identify trade-offs.
- Develop, implement, and iterate on program management techniques, frameworks, KPIs, and success criteria.
- Elevate engineering execution by improving delivery practices and training teams where needed.
- Influence peers and stakeholders, build consensus, and navigate ambiguity.
- Use data and acquired knowledge to drive strategic decisions at the engineering leadership level.
- Create broadly circulated plans that drive consistency, clarity, and alignment across teams.
- Operationalize and execute critical cross-functional programs across Developer Infrastructure, Core Infrastructure, and Service Infrastructure.
- Drive programs spanning core infrastructure supporting payment systems.
- Lead the definition, cross-functional strategy, planning, and execution of large-scale technical programs.
- Solve complex problems and enable products and infrastructure at scale.
- Build and implement scalable solutions that protect users and serve the business.
- Apply deep technical expertise in software infrastructure, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or technical program management.
- 4 years of experience in core infrastructure, including databases, cloud compute, networking, and services.
- 4 years of program management experience across all phases of software development, from kickoff through launch.
- 2 years of experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- 5 years of experience in software architecture and systems design.
- 5 years of technical program management experience in software infrastructure.
- 5 years of experience with cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, databases, or service frameworks.
- 1 year of experience with SQL.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $173,400–$260,200.
- Equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and wellness stipends may be available.
- 40 hours per week.
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
