Owns end-to-end engineering recruiting at a rapidly scaling AI company, partnering with engineering leaders to define roles, source and close exceptional talent, and improve recruiting systems and candidate experience.

Responsibilities
- Learn Vapi’s engineering organization, interview philosophy, and hiring bar.
- Build trusted relationships with engineering leaders and hiring managers.
- Own a portfolio of technical searches and run full-cycle recruiting across engineering roles.
- Develop deep understanding of hiring funnels, identify candidate drop-off points, and improve funnel performance.
- Build high-quality pipelines through outbound sourcing, referrals, networking, and creative talent strategies.
- Partner with hiring managers to refine job definitions, interview design, and scorecards.
- Manage candidates through offers, including compensation discussions and closing.
- Deliver exceptional engineering hires while maintaining a high hiring bar.
- Provide market intelligence and recruiting insights to leadership.
- Advise hiring managers and deliver a candidate experience reflecting Vapi’s quality, speed, and ambition.
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with significant ownership of technical and engineering hiring.
- Experience scaling an early-stage or hyper-growth technology company where hiring velocity mattered.
- Track record of sourcing and closing exceptional engineering talent in competitive markets.
- Strong recruiting judgment and willingness to prioritize quality when necessary.
- Excellent partnership skills with engineering leaders, executives, and candidates.
- Exceptional organization and operational discipline, including strong pipeline management, communication, and ATS hygiene.
- High agency and ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and improve systems independently.
- Curiosity about technology and the products being hired for.
