Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve the systems, workflows, and infrastructure supporting recruiting.
- Partner with recruiters to identify friction, manual work, and unreliable data, then prioritize high-impact improvements.
- Build recruiting solutions, including Ashby workflows and automations, Slack bots, AI-powered tools, integrations, and lightweight internal applications.
- Diagnose root causes and redesign underlying processes when tooling alone is insufficient.
- Improve recruiting data quality and provide visibility into pipeline health, funnel performance, and process issues.
- Automate repetitive recruiter work while preserving tasks that benefit from human judgment.
- Own processes after launch by driving adoption, measuring effectiveness, and iterating as needed.
- Create scalable documentation to maintain healthy systems and processes as the company grows.
- Evaluate and implement recruiting technology, AI tools, and workflows.
- Build appropriately sized, flexible solutions for the company’s current stage and future growth.
Requirements
- Hands-on ability to turn operational problems into workflows, automations, integrations, or tools.
- Strong judgment and systems thinking, including root-cause analysis, prioritization, and process improvement.
- Comfort experimenting with Claude, Cursor, Zapier, n8n, APIs, and scripts.
- Recruiter-first mindset and willingness to understand team workflows before designing solutions.
- Ability to own work from problem identification through implementation, adoption, and ongoing maintenance.
- Preference for simple, effective solutions and sound judgment about when not to automate.
- Ability to earn buy-in, navigate disagreement, and drive adoption without relying on authority.
- Highly organized, comfortable with speed and ambiguity, and skilled at creating maintainable documentation and processes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $150,000–$180,000 annually.
