Build and evolve subscription and payment platforms, APIs, and integrations while improving reliability, scalability, and maintainability. The role requires 6+ years of software development experience, backend expertise, and leadership of complex technical designs.

Responsibilities
- Own and drive the evolution of the Subscriptions and Payments platforms, including foundational systems and APIs.
- Lead and collaborate on feature development supporting subscription growth, monetization, and business expansion.
- Make architectural decisions, lead technical discussions, and provide feedback on team designs.
- Improve system reliability, observability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Build and maintain technical documentation.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering teams to define scope, evaluate tradeoffs, and deliver solutions.
- Conduct code reviews to improve quality, maintain engineering standards, and share knowledge.
- Participate in an occasional on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a software development role.
- 4+ years of experience with Node.js or another backend technology.
- 1+ years of experience leading and implementing complex designs.
- Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience building reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems.
Nice-to-haves
- TypeScript experience.
- Experience with systems deployed in an AWS environment.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI.
Compensation and Benefits
- Target salary range of $140,000–$155,000.
