Build and scale backend APIs, content pipelines, and AI infrastructure powering Mintlify’s documentation products. The role requires 4+ years of software development experience, strong systems and production engineering skills, product judgment, and high ownership.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and ship APIs and services for the editor, dashboard, and customer documentation sites.
- Improve content ingestion, validation, transformation, and publishing pipelines for thousands of customer repositories.
- Build search, retrieval, and agent infrastructure for AI products.
- Improve caching, queues, databases, observability, performance, and reliability as the platform scales.
- Contribute to product direction and technical decisions across the stack.
- Collaborate with design and engineering, engage directly with customers, and take features from development through launch.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Strong experience with systems design, API architecture, databases, and production systems.
- Product intuition and a focus on understanding the purpose behind technical decisions.
- Adaptability and willingness to work beyond backend systems when needed.
- Ability to work with a high degree of ownership and define solutions independently.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of $190,000–$265,000.
