Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to execute product and business strategy.
  • Own backend infrastructure for media creation, including fast, maintainable APIs integrated with frontend clients.
  • Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
  • Improve developer workflows and engineering standards through best-practice recommendations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and balance delivery speed with product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
  • 3+ years of industry experience with large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, Thrift, and maintainable API design.
  • Experience with distributed caching layers and large-scale distributed data storage systems such as Redis.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Product thinking and experience translating complex workflows into robust backend state management.
  • Experience building asynchronous media-processing pipelines and scalable event-driven microservices.
  • Familiarity with background data fetching.
  • Strong SQL-based data analysis skills.
  • Hands-on experience with FFMPEG, GPAC, or similar media frameworks.
