Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship APIs and services for the editor, dashboard, and customer documentation sites.
• Improve content ingestion, validation, transformation, and publishing infrastructure for thousands of customer repositories.
• Build search, retrieval, and agent infrastructure for AI products.
• Improve caching, queues, databases, and observability for performance and reliability.
• Contribute to product direction, technical decisions, and engineering approaches across the stack.
• Collaborate across design and engineering, take features from development through launch, and engage directly with customers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with systems design, API architecture, databases, and production systems.
• Strong product intuition and attention to both business rationale and implementation.
• Adaptability and willingness to work beyond backend engineering when needed.
• Ability to take ownership and define solutions independently.
• Comfort talking directly with customers and using their insights to shape products.
