About the role

What you’ll do

  • Own strategic initiatives that define how Marketing scales as Datadog grows globally, from annual planning and investment strategy to operational improvements and new capabilities.
  • Partner with Marketing & GTM leadership: Present recommendations and business cases to executive leadership, influencing company-wide decisions on Marketing investments and priorities.
  • Inform how we should leverage AI to optimize our Marketing motion, work with marketing org to test and scale new pilots.
  • Analyze complex marketing and GTM data to uncover trends and performance gaps and inform decision-making on budget, HC, channel and regional allocation.
  • Partner with our Data & Analytics team to optimize dashboards and reporting to deliver actionable insights and monitor the impact of deployed initiatives.

Who you are

  • 3–5 years in GTM/growth/revenue strategy, management consulting, investment banking/equity research, or a similar role (experience working with Marketing or Sales teams is a plus).
  • Passion for Marketing: excited by modern B2B marketing and curious about how demand generation, product marketing, digital, events, lifecycle, and brand come together to drive growth.
  • Excitement for AI: actively experiment with AI tools in your daily work and are excited about identifying opportunities to transform business processes through AI.
  • Builder mindset: Proven ability to go beyond strategy — you can design solutions and drive them through execution, rollout, and adoption.
  • Creative problem solving: Comfort operating in ambiguity and structuring loosely defined problems.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to break down complex problems into structured insights and clear action plans.
  • Quantitative analysis: Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas for senior stakeholders.
  • Ownership: Track record of working cross-functionally and taking responsibility for outcomes across Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Product teams.
  • Presentation skills: Ability to create and deliver presentations for senior and executive audiences.

Bonus Points

  • Experience manipulating and analyzing complex datasets using SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience deploying Marketing AI solutions.
  • Experience working with or supporting Marketing / Sales orgs.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
  • Experience implementing GTM tools, workflows, or automation.
