IT Site Specialist

Provides hands-on IT support at Ramp’s San Francisco office while administering core SaaS applications, identity workflows, hardware, licenses, and integrations. Requires at least four years of technical experience spanning enterprise deskside support and SaaS administration.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person IT support at the San Francisco office five days per week as the primary site IT contact.
  • Provide deskside and walk-up support, resolve tickets end to end, troubleshoot advanced issues, and escalate to IT Engineering when needed.
  • Triage support requests across tickets, email, Slack, and team distribution lists while improving support volume and SLAs.
  • Direct and review AI support-agent workflow runs and improve automated-resolution workflows.
  • Coordinate joiner, mover, and leaver processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access changes across the SaaS stack.
  • Administer Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jamf, and other SaaS applications, including user lifecycle management, groups, roles, and SSO/SCIM integrations.
  • Manage application portfolios, seat counts, usage tracking, license optimization, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Build integrations and automations that reduce manual work and enforce least-privilege access.
  • Manage on-site hardware inventory, lifecycle, procurement coordination, stock levels, and vendor fulfillment.
  • Support endpoint troubleshooting and conference-room/AV reliability.
  • Own projects, audits, remediation efforts, and technical and user-facing documentation.
  • Advocate for users and remove blockers with empathy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of technical experience in an enterprise-size organization.
  • Hands-on experience with both on-site IT support and SaaS/application administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jamf, and modern SaaS tools.
  • Understanding of user lifecycle management, identity and access management, and least-privilege principles.
  • Experience with SSO/SCIM provisioning, SaaS integrations, and automation.
  • Experience managing SaaS application portfolios, license optimization, and vendor renewals.
  • Experience with deskside support, ticket resolution, and escalation to engineering teams.
  • Comfort owning endpoint support, AV, inventory, and back-end application administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to own ambiguous, cross-functional work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in high-growth startups.
  • Experience managing macOS and Windows environments.
  • Scripting or automation experience, including Python, APIs, or workflow tools.
  • Experience with AI-assisted support tooling and workflow automation.
  • Experience coordinating hardware procurement with fulfillment vendors such as Firstbase, SHI, CDW, or Amazon.
  • Okta Certified Professional or Administrator certification.
  • Slack Certified Admin certification.
  • Google Workspace Administrator experience.

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: $145,760–$200,420 annually.
