Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Crusoe Cloud’s Software Defined Networking strategy and roadmap.
- Lead architecture decisions, design reviews, code reviews, implementation, and software development lifecycle execution.
- Collaborate with network infrastructure and cross-functional teams to deliver and operate high-performance networking solutions.
- Design, develop, and support Linux kernel and driver components, emphasizing system architecture and optimization.
- Drive adoption of XDP/eBPF, AF_XDP, DPDK, SmartNICs, DPUs, and IPUs.
- Ensure coding standards, source control, testing, operational excellence, and effective stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and operating high-performance networking systems in production.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Golang.
- Deep knowledge of Linux systems internals, including kernel architecture, memory management, and device drivers.
- In-depth understanding of network programming and packet-processing pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with XDP/eBPF, AF_XDP, and DPDK.
- Experience with Mellanox/NVIDIA SmartNICs, DPU BlueField-3, or Intel IPU.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, SR-IOV, vDPA, and scalable functions.
- Kernel or embedded development experience focused on the Linux kernel.
- Experience with Open vSwitch, OpenFlow, and Open Virtual Networking.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical leadership experience.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and VMware or KVM virtualization.
- Open-source contributions to Open vSwitch, OVN, Multus, or Cilium.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation range: $215,000–$260,000 plus bonus.
- Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers.
