Senior Data Platform Engineer
Own and evolve Bevi’s end-to-end data platform, from ingestion and IoT modeling through governed self-service analytics and AI access. The senior individual contributor will architect scalable streaming and batch systems, establish governance and observability, and provide technical leadership across the Data & Data Science organization.

Responsibilities
- Own the full data platform, including ingestion, modeling, self-service, CI/CD, visualization, documentation, and standards enforcement.
- Design scalable data architectures and flows supporting analytics, AI, and ML initiatives.
- Partner with Software to select and implement technology for streaming data at scale.
- Build IoT data models and pipelines for machine sensors, digital UI interactions, and beverage consumption.
- Establish governed self-service workflows with permissioning, PR-based peer review, production-readiness standards, and source-to-dashboard lineage.
- Evolve AI data access governance, monitoring, alerting, privacy, security, and data quality practices.
- Collaborate with Data Science on advanced analytics, experimentation, and AI/ML modeling.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the Data & Data Science organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform engineering.
- Experience owning a complete production data platform.
- Expertise with Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, and Looker or a similar BI layer.
- Experience designing or governing LLM and AI-agent access to structured data.
- Hands-on experience architecting streaming and batch pipelines at scale.
- Experience with data governance, permissions, PR/review workflows, and production-readiness controls.
- Experience building observability layers covering monitoring, alerting, lineage, and data quality.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently solve ambiguous cross-functional problems and deliver production systems.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving innovation in data teams.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $170,000–$210,000 USD.
