IT / Hardware Capacity Analyst
Model and reconcile IT/hardware capacity needs across data center sites, building automated views for planning and procurement while chasing discrepancies in orders, inventory, and lead times.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Model IT and hardware capacity across the pipeline: what compute, network, and support gear each site needs and when.
- Reconcile demand against orders, inventory, and lead times, and flag the gap before it hits a schedule.
- Build the capacity views planning and procurement run on, refreshed automatically.
- Chase discrepancies to ground: a miscounted rack now is a missed energization later.
Requirements
- Experience in capacity, demand, or supply planning for hardware-heavy operations.
- Built models in SQL or spreadsheets that survived contact with messy source data.
- Reconcile relentlessly: your numbers tie out or you know exactly why not.
- Translate an analysis into an action: order now, shift that, escalate this.
- Automate refreshes rather than rebuilding by hand.
Nice-to-Haves
- Data center or hardware supply chains.
- ERP data.
- Python.
- Forecasting methods.
