Responsibilities

  • Own the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and lead the close process, ensuring timely, accurate results in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and maintaining strong supporting documentation for audit readiness.
  • Lead the annual audit process, partnering with external auditors and delivering complete, accurate schedules with minimal findings.
  • Drive process optimization across accounting workflows, improving systems, controls, and close efficiency to support scalability in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Act as a hands-on accounting leader—contributing directly to journal entries and technical accounting while supporting special projects and mentoring team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Experience in a SaaS environment with strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Proven ability to own financial statement preparation and lead the close process in a hands-on capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, and customer lifetime value.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to partner cross-functionally and lead a team.

Compensation

  • Total compensation: $158,000 - $194,000.
  • Eligible for benefits including health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and potentially bonuses or equity.
