About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, build, and launch AI-powered workflow automation products for government services (e.g., AI resident assistants, AI agents for permits/licenses/inspections).
  • Take full ownership of AI product development, from identifying needs to shipping production-ready solutions using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for regulatory data.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and government experts to create intuitive, reliable, auditable workflows with multi-agent orchestration.
  • Leverage cutting-edge models and custom LLM systems for accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
  • Use agency feedback and usage data to iterate and improve features.

Requirements

  • 5+ years professional software/product engineering experience in high-growth startups, building user-facing apps for enterprises/consumers.
  • Hands-on experience building products with generative AI at core: LLMs, vector databases, retrieval systems.
  • Product-minded builder focused on usability, impact, and translating AI into workflows.
  • Iterative problem-solver using data and feedback.
