Abuse Investigator

Responsibilities

• Review leads, investigate activity, and disrupt abusive operations focused on violent and terrorist activities, especially time-sensitive threats to life.
• Develop abuse signals and tracking strategies to proactively detect harmful activity.
• Identify operational workflow improvements to expedite work while mitigating risk.
• Communicate investigation findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop understanding of products and data; collaborate with technical teams to improve tooling.
• Support on-call process for rapid threat triaging, investigation, mitigation, and briefings.
• Be collaborative and helpful.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in counterterrorism and violent activity mitigation from law enforcement, government, crisis response, or similar.
• Strong familiarity with technical investigations using SQL and Python.
• 12+ years tracking threat actors or handling cases with violent offenders, extremists, or high-risk individuals.
• 2+ years developing automated approaches to work.
• Experience presenting analytic work publicly or in policy settings.
• Additional language beyond English (nice-to-have).
• Resiliency for sensitive, high-stress content.
