Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software for internal customers.
- Define architecture, technical patterns, and engineering practices for a new platform while integrating with or extracting capabilities from legacy applications.
- Develop backend services primarily in Python, with emphasis on Flask.
- Build and integrate AWS solutions using Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, and DynamoDB.
- Maintain deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using OpenTofu and Terraform.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical leadership on roadmap delivery in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Partner with the Tech Lead and Engineering Manager on technical decisions and scalable development practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
- Mentor junior developers on Python and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience.
- Deep understanding of Python.
- Experience with AWS, particularly Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, and DynamoDB.
- At least 2 years of Salesforce experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building or maintaining deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as OpenTofu and Terraform.
- Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum.
- Experience delivering work from a prioritized roadmap or backlog.
- Strong understanding of software development, testing, code quality, maintainability, and technical documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and effective under pressure while managing time-sensitive deliverables.
- Mentorship skills and willingness to support other team members.
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of Flask experience.
- Experience in financial services or lending.
- AWS certification.
- Interest in progressing toward technical leadership.

- Competitive base salary range of $96,300–$154,400.
