Software Engineer 3, Atlas Clusters Platform
Build and evolve the distributed orchestration platform powering MongoDB Atlas, designing backend features and contributing to complex technical projects across cloud environments. The role requires at least three years of software development experience and expertise in compiled languages, modern web technologies, and major cloud platforms.

Responsibilities
- Build and design new features for MongoDB Atlas.
- Contribute to and lead complex technical projects.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to develop user-focused technical solutions.
- Work with customers and support engineers to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with teammates on the codebase, best practices, and design principles.
- Learn from and mentor other team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language such as Java, C#, or Go.
- Comfort working across a modern web application stack, including technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience launching a new feature and maintaining it in production.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, curiosity, collaboration, and motivation.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $106,000–$209,000 USD.
