Plumbing Technician
Maintains and repairs plumbing, pumping, drainage, treatment, and related mechanical systems supporting high-volume manufacturing. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of plumbing experience, troubleshooting ability, and safe hands-on work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair pipes, fittings, heating, water, drainage, process water, wastewater, chemical transfer, and facility plumbing systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Troubleshoot and service commercial plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Install pressure vessels to OSHA certification standards.
- Track multiple projects through a work-order system and respond to emergencies.
- Perform shop and on-site disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, testing, maintenance, repair, and reassembly of pumps and other mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments on pump troubleshooting, assessment, maintenance, testing, and repair.
- Ensure work and materials comply with manufacturer specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics, specifications, blueprints, and technical instructions.
- Perform failure assessments and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct routine safety observations and inspections.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 3+ years of plumbing experience.
- Familiarity with commercial building codes.
- Knowledge of plumbing materials, equipment, methods, and tools.
- Proficiency with sewer snakes and cleaning machinery.
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to complete plumbing, preventive maintenance, installations, and repairs with minimal supervision.
- Experience maintaining, installing, or repairing air compressors, centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, rotary pumps, or vacuum pumps.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow applicable safety practices and regulations.
- Understanding of pressure, temperature, and other operating conditions when servicing pumps in a production environment.
- Analytical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and navigate web-based service literature and programs.
- Ability to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and work in dirty, noisy, or confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
