Background
Own and accelerate adoption, retention, and growth of commercial customers as the primary post-sale commercial contact. Act as a trusted advisor to build partnerships, drive usage, renewals, and expansions, with success measured by retention and net revenue retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full customer lifecycle post-signature for commercial customers, ensuring high retention.
- Develop rolling forecasts and meet/exceed renewal and net retention targets.
- Proactively identify and mitigate churn risks via customer health and usage monitoring.
- Uncover and execute expansion opportunities by aligning customer needs with products.
- Build relationships with stakeholders from technical users to economic buyers.
- Synthesize customer feedback to inform product roadmap, collaborating with Product and Engineering.
- Partner with Sales, GTM Engineering, and RevOps for seamless customer journey.
- Lead commercial negotiations, renewals, quoting, and procurement.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in quota-carrying, customer-facing role (Account Management, Customer Success, Renewals) in B2B SaaS.
- Proven track record exceeding retention/expansion quotas (GRR, NRR).
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills for complex renewals.
- Technical aptitude to articulate complex products; familiarity with AI/LLM stack a plus.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Empathy for customer objectives.
- Proficiency with CRM (e.g., Salesforce).
- Ability to operate autonomously in fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience at high-growth, developer-first, or AI/ML infrastructure company.
- Managing renewals in consumption/usage-based pricing.
