Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain deployments, infrastructure, reliability, and scalability at scale.
- Manage highly available infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and platform tooling to reduce downtime and improve service manageability.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to architect and develop infrastructure and automated deployments for cloud-native SaaS applications.
- Research and integrate technologies that improve platform functionality and performance.
- Partner with product development peers on roadmap execution and critical technical challenges.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering and DevOps experience.
- Significant hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Experience managing complex infrastructure for high-scale, cloud-based systems.
- Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud; mastery of at least one cloud provider.
- Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform.
- Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Istio.
- Experience with CI/CD and automation tools including GitHub Actions, Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Event Hubs, and RabbitMQ.
- Experience developing and supporting server-side-rendered applications using Node.js and Python.
- Proficiency with Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting.
- Expertise in monitoring, logging, observability, reliability, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, and prompt engineering for DevOps automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical training and experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, adaptability, and ability to learn new technologies.
