Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve Discord's Brand Safety, Suitability, and anti-malvertising policies for the advertising business, partnering with Legal on global compliance and using AI and data analytics to identify emerging commercial risks.
- Build knowledge of Discord's revenue strategy and commercial infrastructure, translating complex policy requirements into actionable guidance for Sales and Product teams.
- Partner with advertising customers, Marketing, and Business Development to define partner requirements.
- Guide Revenue product teams throughout the development lifecycle, partnering with Legal on risk and mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Product and Engineering on detection infrastructure and enforcement scaling, and with Trust & Safety to ensure policies are enforceable at scale.
- Represent Discord's commercial policy approach with industry groups and partners, and support Sales and Account Management with policy guidance, including TAG and IAB standards.
- Develop user-facing communications such as Help Center content, blog posts, and one-sheets explaining commercial policies.
- Stay current on brand safety, anti-malware, and digital advertising best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in advertising policy, marketplace quality or operations, trust and safety, or brand safety roles within technology companies.
- Proven expertise in at least two of the following: digital advertising; brand safety and suitability; anti-malware strategy.
- Deep understanding of programmatic and digital advertising ecosystems.
- Experience with major brand safety, suitability, and anti-malvertising vendors such as DoubleVerify, IAS, HUMAN, Jounce, DeepSee, GeoEdge, or similar.
- Experience addressing large-scale malvertising schemes and understanding their underlying incentive structures.
- Experience using AI/LLM tools in day-to-day projects and workflows.
- Experience working with revenue teams and understanding business metrics and KPIs.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform policy decisions.
- Excellent judgment in complex and ambiguous situations.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.

- Experience with Discord's platform and an understanding of gaming and creator communities.
- Experience with subscription models, virtual goods, or in-app purchases.
Compensation and Benefits
- US base salary: $192,000–$216,000 for this full-time position.
- Equity and benefits are provided in addition to base salary.
- Relocation assistance may be available.
- Travel: 10–15%.
