Responsibilities

  • Embed with product development teams to deliver data products and analyses that improve team outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Finance throughout product development.
  • Prioritize and assess the ROI of Data Science opportunities within the assigned area.
  • Translate complex findings into clear narratives for leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Influence strategic decisions through technical depth and effective communication.
  • Develop analytical foundations for Growth, including definitions, methodological guidelines, and self-serve dashboards.
  • Mentor and learn from other Data Scientists.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Data Scientist embedded with or supporting a product development team.
  • Experience creating value from data in messy real-world settings.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex quantitative work into actionable insights.
  • Graduate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent demonstrated expertise in formal analysis methodology.
  • Strong command of SQL, Python or R, AI tools, and data/analytics engineering ecosystems.
  • Fluency with standard machine learning and predictive modeling techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at a high-growth, data-intensive consumer technology company, particularly in user growth.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and improving production machine learning models and supporting infrastructure.

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $182,800–$247,300 USD.
  • Equity compensation supplements the base salary.
