Responsibilities
- Develop pricing guidance systems for hosts and methods to measure the impact of pricing feature launches using experimental and observational approaches.
- Build optimized products, tools, and programs that help hosts thrive and guests discover and book suitable stays.
- Build data products, inference frameworks, and intelligence to support marketplace growth.
- Develop models and analyze supply, demand, marketplace outcomes, and guest travel preferences.
- Generate destination recommendations based on guest travel preferences.
- Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and Analytics to drive collaboration and innovation.
- Contribute to data-driven products and models, using AI tools to improve efficiency and impact.
- Write software in Python, SQL, or R to model, simulate, and measure feature impact.
- Apply causal inference and machine learning techniques.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover insights and develop actionable proposals.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to leaders and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's or master's degree, or 2+ years of experience with a PhD.
- Experience with experimentation, causal observational analysis, and machine learning.
- Experience partnering with product, engineering, and design teams on data-driven model or product development.
- Ability to prototype, build, and scale derived data assets.
- Strong SQL coding skills and proficiency in either Python or R.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base pay range: $179,000–$210,000 USD.
- May be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
