Principal technical leader responsible for architectural direction, hands-on full-stack development, and cross-organizational engineering initiatives. Responsibilities
- Establish architectural vision and implementation strategy with technology and product leadership.
- Work across Angular front ends, .NET Core services, and databases while remaining hands-on in proof-of-concept scenarios.
- Design and develop reliable, maintainable, and extensible REST/JSON APIs and other software.
- Establish and enforce architecture guidelines and maintain architecture documentation.
- Participate in design and code reviews and provide architectural oversight.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and assess impacts on schedule and design.
- Contribute to ideation, estimation, statements of work, and product roadmap development.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and technology leaders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement across products, technologies, and processes.
- Champion AI-assisted tools and practices across the software development lifecycle, including code generation, review, testing, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to embed AI capabilities into products and partner with Product on customer-value use cases.
- Mentor engineers and architects across distributed teams and drive initiatives spanning product and organizational boundaries.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software development experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production systems.
- Experience architecting SaaS enterprise applications.
- Experience driving broad product or technical initiatives across organizational boundaries.
- Deep knowledge of architectural frameworks and patterns, including Onion, domain-driven design, Clean Architecture, and SOLID.
- Backend expertise in .NET Core and C#; Angular experience preferred.
- Experience with Azure or AWS and SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- REST/JSON API development experience.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
- Proficiency with DevOps practices and tools.
- Working knowledge of application security, performance tuning, and scalability.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or OpenAI tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Deep experience across at least two areas of the technology stack, such as backend, frontend, infrastructure, data, or mobile.
- Consulting or professional services experience, including statements of work and partner engagements.
- Experience with iOS or Android technologies.
- Experience working with distributed, cross-geography engineering teams.
- Experience integrating LLM or AI/ML capabilities into production SaaS applications.
