Outbound Business Development Representative
The Business Development Representative generates pipeline through inbound lead management, outbound prospecting, prospect discovery, and qualification. Responsibilities
- Manage and promptly follow up on inbound leads from campaigns, webinars, events, trials, website inquiries, call center activity, and other channels.
- Research target companies, accounts, and decision-makers aligned with RSA’s ideal customer profile.
- Conduct personalized outbound prospecting through cold calls, email, social media, and digital channels.
- Qualify inbound and outbound prospects through discovery conversations covering needs, pain points, priorities, current environment, and buying process.
- Schedule discovery meetings and provide Account Executives with relevant prospect and discovery information.
- Nurture prospects not yet ready for sales engagement through structured follow-up.
- Maintain accurate CRM records for leads, activities, meetings, contacts, and opportunities in Salesforce.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Marketing on territory priorities, campaigns, events, webinars, messaging, and pipeline development.
- Monitor KPIs including qualified meetings, pipeline generated, timely lead follow-up, prospect progression, and CRM accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, inbound sales, outbound sales, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Experience engaging prospects through inbound lead follow-up and proactive outbound prospecting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong discovery, listening, research, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to identify and engage key decision-makers.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in identity and access management, cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise technology.
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6sense, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Salesloft, AI-enabled sales tools, or similar platforms.
