Responsibilities
- Own delivery for the team’s surface area, including scoping, sequencing, unblocking, and balancing speed with durability.
- Collaborate with product and design as part of a product-threaded team.
- Work with technical leads to set technical direction and guide architectural decisions.
- Maintain operational health through on-call, incident response, and proactive technical-debt reduction.
- Cultivate an AI-first development culture and improve team velocity and quality.
- Hire, mentor, and grow a highly autonomous engineering team.
- Establish engineering standards for testing, observability, and AI-driven development practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of SaaS software engineering experience, preferably with contemporary technology stacks and complex backend infrastructure.
- 3+ years of people-management experience leading a software team, including hiring, mentoring, and career development.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through technical and customer-facing feature delivery.
- Strong understanding of testing and deploying systems in multicloud and multitenant environments.
- Experience architecting systems integrating agentic and generative AI capabilities.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Redux, Node.js, Golang, MongoDB, Postgres, and Docker.
- Active use of AI tooling and a perspective on how it changes software development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
