Leads electrical engineering for data center and facility power infrastructure, including design, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and code compliance. Requires a bachelor’s degree and professional electrical project experience; leadership experience and a PE license are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of electrical engineers and collaborate with MEP engineers, trade partners, facility technicians, utilities personnel, and internal customers.
- Design and specify electrical power distribution systems, switchgear, motor control centers, lighting, grounding, UPS units, standby and emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, power monitoring systems, data/phone wiring, fire alarm systems, and lightning protection systems.
- Support facility technicians in troubleshooting electrical equipment and controllers.
- Provide engineering support for facility electrical systems, including load-flow analysis, equipment evaluation, grounding, and power monitoring hardware and software.
- Ensure equipment interfaces correctly with mechanical and electrical systems and complies with facility power budgets.
- Coordinate electrical installations and maintenance with local electrical utilities.
- Ensure electrical designs and installations comply with applicable codes and regulations.
- Perform code reviews using NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 497, NFPA 101, AFSPCMAN 91-710, and IBC.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of professional experience working on electrical projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS systems, and/or generators.
- Ability to read and understand power and control schematics and technical equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- 3+ years of management experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with variable frequency drives and industrial pumps.
- Experience with MODBUS controls communication.
- Experience with medium-voltage distribution.
- Experience with control panel design and production.
- Working knowledge of power coordination and arc flash.
