Product Manager, Public Sector
Own product discovery and strategy for Claude’s public-sector offerings, partnering with government agencies, engineering, research, policy, and go-to-market teams. The role requires end-to-end product shipping experience, strong cross-functional influence, government or enterprise intuition, and familiarity with AI products and compliance environments.

Responsibilities
- Run discovery with go-to-market teams inside government institutions to identify where Claude fits into operational workflows.
- Own product decisions for government models, product offerings, and agency workflows built on them.
- Identify government needs worth generalizing and incorporate them into Anthropic’s broader roadmap.
- Help navigate government compliance regimes.
- Partner with cloud and integration providers.
Requirements
- Experience shipping successful products end-to-end, with strong product judgment.
- Evidence of building products from observing users rather than relying solely on requirements documents.
- Ability to drive outcomes through cross-functional teams and teams without direct reporting relationships.
- Experience operating at a fast cadence or setting the pace in slower environments.
- Ability to develop domain intuition quickly across large enterprises.
- Must be a US person for roles covered by US Government agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Nice-to-haves
- Roughly 7+ years building and shipping products, or equivalent scope.
- Government operating experience, experience at a digital services organization, or experience building products used by public servants.
- Experience turning a public-sector or field requirement into a successful commercial product.
- Fluency with AI products, including evaluations and model behavior as part of the product surface.
- Experience shipping within FedRAMP, classified, or comparable compliance boundaries.
- Experience negotiating with or steering cloud providers or systems integrators.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $305,000–$385,000 USD.
