Senior Financial Data Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Own all Run the Business (RTB) and compliance reporting, including tax, airport, and audit requests, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and operational reliability.
  • Build and maintain process documentation, checklists, and operational playbooks for repeatable, resilient reporting workflows.
  • Receive and operationalize reports stabilized by Finance Data Products, integrating them into day-to-day RTB reporting operations.
  • Replace reactive, ad hoc reporting with documented recurring workflows and automation.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Serve as the primary stakeholder contact for RTB work across teams.
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through execution, communicating progress and risks to stakeholders and management.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities within RTB reporting and drive initiatives to address them.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, business, consulting, or analytics.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency, with 5+ years of experience querying and analyzing large, complex datasets.
  • Experience owning recurring, high-stakes reporting processes, such as tax, regulatory, or audit reporting, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build scalable process documentation, playbooks, and operational workflows.
  • Experience identifying and implementing automation to reduce manual reporting work.
  • Strong experience with dashboarding and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern data stacks.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with GitHub, Terminal, and DBMS development.

Compensation and benefits

  • Base pay range in the Toronto area: CAD $122,000–$152,000.
  • Potential equity offering, bonus, and benefits are not included in the base pay range.
