About the role
Responsibilities
Design and architect observability solutions leveraging OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
Translate complex customer requirements into scalable, performant implementations.
Develop and execute Proofs of Concept (POCs) demonstrating technical capabilities.
Deliver technical demos and presentations for engineering and executive audiences.
Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle to position the technical solution.
Provide architecture guidance on observability setup, telemetry data modeling, and OpenTelemetry Collector design.
Create and maintain reusable demo environments, reference architectures, and POC templates.
Contribute to technical content, including blog posts, conference talks, and documentation.
Requirements
Deep technical knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, observability pipelines, and distributed tracing.
Hands-on experience with instrumentation, telemetry data ingestion, and performance optimization.
Strong understanding of modern DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering practices.
Ability to create and execute technical demos, architectures, and POCs that demonstrate business value.
Strong technical communication skills, including the ability to explain complex observability concepts clearly.
Collaborative approach across Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving technical challenges.
Nice to Have
Experience in pre-sales or Sales Engineering at a B2B SaaS company.
Contributions to OpenTelemetry or the broader observability ecosystem.
