Strategic Deals Lead, Compute Infrastructure

Leads complex strategic transactions securing compute, semiconductor, data-center, and related AI infrastructure capacity. The role requires 8–10+ years of transactional experience, strong infrastructure economics and capital-markets knowledge, and the ability to negotiate with senior technology and financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies that expand access to compute, infrastructure, and emerging AI technologies, translating them into executable deal pipelines.
  • Lead complex infrastructure transactions from opportunity identification and term-sheet development through negotiation, execution, and close.
  • Structure partnerships addressing supply-chain challenges, emerging technologies, ecosystem initiatives, and other strategic objectives.
  • Apply capital-markets and financial expertise to project finance, credit and residual-value guarantees, vendor financing, equipment leasing, and related structures.
  • Evaluate commercial frameworks, supply options, architectures, deal economics, efficiency metrics, trade-offs, and risk-adjusted outcomes.
  • Partner with engineering, procurement, infrastructure, finance, legal, corporate development, and executive leadership to translate technical requirements into investment and commercial strategies.
  • Build senior-level relationships across the AI infrastructure ecosystem and drive internal alignment on transaction terms, risk parameters, and priorities.
  • Manage approval processes for large commitments, including deal strategy, economics, risk analysis, and capital at risk.
  • Monitor AI infrastructure markets, technologies, financing developments, supply constraints, and competitor capacity strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience in AI infrastructure, including on-premises capacity, cloud, semiconductors, data centers, backbone, networking, or adjacent technology ecosystems.
  • Background in strategic partnerships, hyperscaler deal structuring, network investments, investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure investments.
  • Deep understanding of the compute ecosystem, infrastructure economics, and AI infrastructure trends.
  • Track record of structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, high-value technology transactions or strategic partnerships as a principal and lead negotiator.
  • Working knowledge of capital markets, project financing, and financial transaction structures integrated with commercial terms.
  • Experience evaluating emerging technologies and converting long-term infrastructure or ecosystem strategies into signed agreements.
  • Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into deal structures and strategic business recommendations.
  • Experience building partnerships and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders, including executives.
  • Strong analytical and strategic judgment, autonomy, and comfort operating in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice-to-Haves

  • 8–10+ years of experience in strategic deals, corporate development, investment banking, or business development at technology companies, hyperscalers, semiconductor companies, or financial institutions, with direct transactional ownership.
  • Experience managing multiple high-value transactions simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with AI accelerators, the silicon ecosystem, supply chains, and AI infrastructure buildouts.
  • Direct experience with multilayered silicon transactions.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, training-cluster design, network topology, and capacity planning.
  • Experience with vendor financing, equipment leasing, structured or project finance, or capital-markets transactions applied to infrastructure procurement.

Compensation

  • Annual compensation range: $265,000–$325,000 USD. For sales roles, compensation ranges may include base salary and target commissions or bonuses; this role’s range is stated as annual salary.
